COVID UPDATE – Face Masks

With growing coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Victoria, the Victorian State Government has announced changes to Stage 3 restrictions currently in place. Based on what is known about where these cases are, different restrictions are being applied to different areas in Victoria.

From 11.59pm last night, Wednesday 22 July 2020, the changes in restrictions that came into effect for those in metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire were as follows – when leaving home, people 12 years and older must wear a face covering, unless an exemption applies.

This applies to those people, including when they work outside the Melbourne/Mitchell Shire area, including Geelong.

The Centre will remain OPEN and continue to trade.

Whilst the Geelong region is currently exempt from the mandatory face covering regulation, we encourage retailers and Centre staff (including contractors, delivery personnel, couriers) to wear a face mask at all times, including those working in the centre who reside outside the Geelong area.

It is also very important social distancing is managed. We ask all Centre staff and shoppers to be mindful of the Government’s social distancing requirements.  Please maintain a distance of 1.5m.

Please do not enter the Centre if you are feeling unwell or have just been tested.  If you suspect or can confirm a new Coronavirus case – please contact the dedicated hotline on 1800 675 398, open 24 hours, 7 days.
